Lantern Festival Traditions

March 03

Today we celebrate the Lantern Festival, one of the most poetic and meaningful traditional festivals in China. Falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month, it marks the first full moon of the year — symbolizing reunion, harmony, and a new beginning.

Historically, the Lantern Festival dates back more than 2,000 years. During the Han Dynasty, people lit lanterns to pray for peace and prosperity. Over time, the celebration evolved into a vibrant night of glowing lanterns, riddles written on paper slips, dragon dances, and families gathering to enjoy tangyuan (sweet rice balls).

Lantern Festival Traditions

Why do we eat tangyuan?

Because its round shape symbolises completeness and unity, the sticky rice texture represents close bonds between people. It is not just food — it carries emotional meaning.

Why do we admire lanterns?

Lanterns represent light in darkness, hope for the future, and the courage to move forward together.

Although the Lantern Festival is not a public holiday in China, its emotional weight remains strong. At our company, we believe tradition should not stay in books — it should be lived.

Last year, we prepared warm tangyuan for everyone in the office. This year, instead of simply celebrating, we chose interaction. We will assemble lanterns together and guess riddles. Laughter, teamwork, shared creativity — these moments quietly shape our company culture.

In Chinese, there is an old saying: “Influence comes naturally through close contact.”

The warmth we cultivate internally extends naturally to how we treat our clients. We value patience, sincerity, and long-term relationships. We see our partners not just as customers, but as friends walking the same journey.

As we share this special festival with our global partners, we also hope to share something deeper — the spirit behind it.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are strengthening both our manufacturing infrastructure and professional team development.

Our focus areas include:

  • Anti-ageing ingredients
  • High-potency herbal extracts
  • Superfood raw materials

Among them, our key projects this year include NMN powder and premium matcha powder. We are investing more in production capacity, quality systems, and technical support to ensure long-term reliability.

If you are exploring opportunities in longevity, nutraceuticals, or functional superfoods, we would be happy to connect.

May the full moon bring clarity, cooperation, and shared growth.
